The Rho LT Bottoms are your lightweight thermal base layer for low and medium output when it’s cold out. The odour-resistant Torrent™ fabric has a soft, brushed surface that speeds moisture transfer and delivers serious comfort next to the skin. Elastane fibres add stretch and work with the articulated patterning and gusseted crotch for freedom of movement. The waistband is designed for comfort and easy layering, and a smart thigh pocket stashes a smartphone.

PROVENANCE AND ETHICS

Originally founded as Rock Solid Manufacturing by David Lane in 1981, In 1990 Lane brought Jeremy Guard, a fellow climber, into the fold and in 1991 they renamed the company Arc’teryx – a nod to the Archaeopteryx lithographica, the first reptile to develop feathers for flight – the first bird – and the brand’s instantly recognisable logo is a depiction of the Berlin specimen of the Archaeopteryx.
